The gospel

The Gospel means ‘Good News’ and the good news is this: for God so loved the world that he gave His only son (Jesus), that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

1- God loves you, and it was His plan from the beginning to be in a relationship with you.

2- However, when man sinned (by disobeying God’s commandment), this caused separation from God. This made us guilty before God, and by nature we were deserving of wrath. (Ephesians 2:3, Romans 3:23)

3- Here comes the good news! For God loves us so dearly, He sent His Son, Jesus, to free us from this guilt and make us right with God. Jesus died on the cross, freed us from all our sins and shame, and rose again on the third day. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

4- When we place our faith and trust in Jesus alone, we are saved! We can have eternal life with Him. There is nothing we did or can ever do to earn this gift He has given us.
